I plan to leave music for politics – Rapper, Reminisce

Nigerian Rapper, Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, known as Reminisce, has revealed plans to join politics very soon.

The rapper disclosed this in a chat with Punch, while also regretting his decisions of not being a graduate.

Book double destinations and get double reward points
While speaking, he emphasised on importance of education, advising youths to go to school and become graduates no matter their talent or skills.

“For anybody who wants to make a career out of music, you have to be sure that you are skilled and that it’s something that you can do sustainably; if not, go to school.

“Either ways, it is important to go to school, whether you go into full-time music or not.

“I am interested in politics and I see myself becoming a politician in future. One is not going to do music forever and I need to plan my life properly. I also love to engage in business, so I see myself doing a lot of that too.

When next I visit Thailand, I’ll go with my food – Helen Paul

Comedienne and actress, Helen Paul visited Thailand some months back . She shares fond memories of her trip to the Asian country with BUKOLA BAKARE

When did you visit Thailand and why were you in the country ?

I visited Thailand last year and I was in the country for a private event that I had been invited to , so I won ’ t really be able to disclose the details .

Nonetheless, I had fun during my trip.
How long did you stay there ?
I was there for three days and I made the most of my brief stay , even though I was basically preoccupied with work .

What were some of the things that struck you on arrival in Thailand?

One of the things that I found very fascinating was the airport; it’ s very big and clean compared to what you would see in other places . The fact that Thais were also speaking their native language , which is also known as Thai was quite commendable too and it drove home the point that they are very in tune with their culture .

Since you couldn ’ t speak their language,…

NPOWER: An Important Information For The N-Agro Applicants

An important information goes to all the N-Agro applicants on npower please find the information below.

Poem Of The Day: The Opposite Of Nostalgia

You are running away from everyone
who loves you,
from your family,
from old lovers, from friends.
They run after you with accumulations
of a former life, copper earrings,
plates of noodles, banners
of many lost revolutions.
You love to say the trees are naked now
because it never happens
in your country. This is a mystery
from which you will never
recover. And yes, the trees are naked now,
everything that still breathes in them
lies silent and stark
and waiting. You love October most
of all, how there is no word
for so much splendor.

This, too, is a source
of consolation. Between you and memory
everything is water. Names of the dead,
or saints, or history.

There is a realm in which
—no, forget it,
it’s still too early to make anyone understand.

A man drives a stake
through his own heart
and afterwards the opposite of nostalgia
begins to make sense: he stops raking the leaves
and the leaves take over
and again he has learned
to let go.
